Wanna Donate?
|
Many of our loving and generous
friends have asked us how they can donate to our mission.
Well, by the grace of God and a lot of money from friends, family
and our church, we have more than we need.
BUT, this page doesn't end here!
As all the GOOD commercials
say,
"... WAIT, there's MORE!"

Women of Guatemala (ECO# 51618)
If you are interested in furthering the lives of women and their
families in Guatemala, you can donate to this cause. This fund
provides money for workshops, teachers, materials, bus fare, food
and occasional overnight accommodations so women can attend workshops
and retreats. They receive training how to better
serve as elders, pastors, church school teachers, mothers, wives and
community leaders.
To donate, go to: http://www.pcusa.org/missionfunding/eco.htm
Then, all you need to do is put the ECO number in the field
provided. After you get there, just click on the donate link
and you can put in a credit card number!
Or if you want to do it the old-
fashioned way, follow the links for more info. An email to us is a great
idea too so we can follow-up.

Scholarships for Women in Ministry
(ECO# EO51830)
The Presbyterian National Church of Guatemala supports women pastors
but many of the communities do not. This can be characterized
as a cultural machismo thing, or you can step back and realize
that it took the US 100 years to ordain women.
To donate, go to: http://www.pcusa.org/missionfunding/eco.htm
Then, all you need to do is put the ECO number in the field
provided. After you get there, just click on the donate link
and you can put in a credit card number!
Or if you want to do it the old-fashioned way, follow the links for more info. For this particular
one, please send a copy of your donation file to: Office for Latin America at 100 Witherspoon St.
Louisville, KY 40202-1396. An email to us is a great
idea too so we can follow-up.

Scholarships for Guatemalan
Children through DIACONÍA
Many children in Guatemala do not continue their schooling past 6th grade for many
reasons. One of them is economic. For as little as 150
Quetzales per month ($20) a child can continue their studies to one
day become a teacher, nurse, doctor, lawyer, etc. If you would like to donate to a specific child in Guatemala for
educational scholarships, here is the information you will
need. Just send your
contribution (check made out to) to DIACONÍA. Please
post-date your check for thirty days in the future, to account for
wacky Guatemalan bank rules and a slow postal system. This is
crucial for a smooth process - so I'll repeat it just in case,
please make your check out to DIACONÍA. They don't have a
secure address, so please send your check to PRESGOV Section
GUA-2113 8424 NW 5th Street Miami, FL 33166-3327. On your check be sure to include
"Children's
Scholarship and the child's name". If you don't have a
specific child in mind, just be sure to list on the check that it is for the Children's Scholarship Fund. All of your money
(100%) will
go towards their education. IF, however, you would like a regular report
on progress, a 5% fee will be deducted for administration. You
will also want to send a letter to us with a copy of your check so
we can help track it. Our link is below. It would also
be great if you could send an email to this address as well: PRESGOV@xela.net.gt.
Here is a link with a sample
letter.
