"Seat At The Table"

Shadowed face and sunken eyes
Tattered clothes and troubled soul
She's searching every corner of her world

for the One who’ll make her whole
Survives on handouts and hope
Each day a flood of fear
The crumbs can’t fill the emptiness inside
Oh how she wishes she could hear… someone say

CHORUS
“Come all you outcast, tired and weak
All you thirsty, fragile and meek
It’s a feast for the King and those who seek His face
Hunger no more, take your seat at the table.”

But it’s just a dream within her heart
That dies each day with the setting sun
She finds her dignity in the dark of night
Not feeling loved by anyone
The sunrise wakes her from her sleep
The sounds of morning in her ear
A spark of hope with each passing stranger
Perhaps today she’ll finally hear… someone say

CHORUS

BRIDGE
He’s called us by name, we’re one and the same
The image of God on high
So the least of the others is still my brother
We share the blood of Christ…

so we say

CHORUS

TAG
Child hunger no more
Sister hunger no more
Brother hunger no more
take your seat at the table
