A sheet of cloth awaits
Ready for the painter’s touch
So many feelings to portray
With just these colors and a brush
He draws from deep inside and
inspiration guides his hand

The finished work displayed
In silent rooms with watchful eyes
A woman stops and stares
Can’t find the meaning though she tries
Then in a flash of light she sees
And a smile comes to her face

CHORUS

The masterpiece begins
With an empty canvas snowy white
Potential in the hand that holds the brush and gives it life
But it’s our eyes that capture beauty
when they uncover the secret of
the last stroke laid by the hand of the Master

A lonely boy awaits
Ready for a healing touch
So many feelings trapped inside
His life could mean so much
If only they could see
How he fits in the Maker’s plan

He sits so silently
His mother resting at his side
She’s tries so very hard to find
Something of worth inside her child
Then in a flash of light she sees
And a smile comes to her face

CHORUS

Lord let my eyes capture beauty
and uncover the secret of
the last stroke laid by the hand of the Master
