Everyday Life
These are
pictures I took as I start getting all teary and nostalgic about our final days
in Guatemala. Scott thinks I am losing my mind taking pictures of the
fix-a-flat places called Pinchazos (peen chas-os) but they are something we see
everyday here that will disappear when we leave. The milpa. The
roads. The buidlings with their half-finished construction with rebar
sticking up from the top of them. The buses. The gas prices.
All the things you wish 10 years later that you could remember but have somehow
slipped into the forgotten file in your mind.
I know we will
be glad we have these when we are "home" and nothing feels like
home.
